Oak Ridge Reservation Security Measures
to be Discussed at Site Specific Advisory Board Meeting

Oak Ridge, Tenn. - December 3, 2001 - Barricades are up at DOE facilities around town, but what else is being done to protect DOE resources and the public?

The Oak Ridge Site Specific Advisory Board will address this question at its December 10 meeting as Bobby Davis, Leader of DOE’s Emergency Management Team, and Steven Wyatt, DOE’s Director of Public Affairs, discuss the security measures and communications plans DOE has put in place at its Oak Ridge facilities.

The meeting is open to the public and will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, December 10, at the Garden Plaza Hotel, 215 S. Illinois Avenue, Oak Ridge.

The Site Specific Advisory Board is a volunteer citizens’ panel providing advice and recommendations to DOE’s Oak Ridge Environmental Management Program. Chartered in 1995 under the Federal Advisory Committee Act, the board is composed of 20 members, chosen to reflect the diversity of gender, race, occupation, and interests of persons living near the Oak Ridge Reservation.
