Welcome to the U.S. Department of Energy's Oak Ridge Office Web Site. We hope you will take the time to learn more about our missions, recent achievements, and our goals for the future. As you will see, Oak Ridge Office is very diverse, with major programs in science, environmental management, assets utilization, and uranium programs. ORO also provides support to national security activities managed by the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA). We are based in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, and also have programs at the Paducah and Portsmouth Gaseous Diffusion Plants in Kentucky and Ohio and the Thomas Jefferson National Accelerator Facility in Newport News, Virginia. Most of our programs are performed in Oak Ridge, at three major DOE facilities located on the 33,750-acre Oak Ridge Reservation. These include the Oak Ridge National Laboratory, the Y-12 National Security Complex, and the East Tennessee Technology Park. Also located in Oak Ridge is the Oak Ridge Institute for Science and Education and the American Museum of Science and Energy. Our Web Site contains more information on these programs, news releases, and information on business and public opportunities with Oak Ridge Office. We also include links to several related Web sites. Once again, welcome to the Oak Ridge Office Web Site. We appreciate your interest and welcome your questions and comments.
